Description: Please Read If Attending

The Miller Creek Labyrinth is on private land and normally used for meditation retreats, but once a month, when weather permits, this beautiful labyrinth will be open to the public.

This is a meditative experience. Anyone is welcome to come to walk the labyrinth during open hours in the spirit of this quiet experience. Silence within and around the labyrinth, and kind consideration for others' experience, is requested.

There will always be a guided Mindfulness meditation offered outside the labyrinth starting 15 minutes after the labyrinth opening time. For those interested in this monthly community practice, please arrive with enough time to settle into the circle before the start. This meditation will lean into the practice of using nature to practice mindfulness. Christine Lustik will be guiding the meditation, more about her below.

Please review the linked directions and labyrinth protocols below.

Heads Up:

  • It is possible weather can affect labyrinth hours and parking if severe. Please check www.mindfulnessinorganizations.com or follow @effortsatbeingpresent on Instagram for any updates the day of and watch for the parking signs when coming down the driveway.

  • The ground is rough and uneven. Please wear appropriate shoes to be safe. You may want a walking stick if you are unsteady on your feet.

  • By attending Open Community Hours you are acknowledging there is a risk to walking on uneven ground and by voluntarily attending, you assume responsibility for your care and hold the landowners harmless.

Meditation guide: Christine Lustik has 2 Mindfulness teacher training certifications through Mindfulness Training Institute and Awake in the Wild. She has been teaching meditation and mindfulness within organizations, the community, and outside in nature since 2013.

Donations will be accepted for use of the space. Anything from $2-10 would be appreciated.  100% of donations go to support Red Willow Learning Center, a nonprofit organization in Missoula working to meet the wellbeing needs of underserved populations in our community.
